What are 3 main threats to our health?

Yes, I don't differentiate between body and mental health because I consider both related and actually one thing, as the concept of spacetime in physics.
Can we have a healthy body when our mind is in trouble? Apparently the body may work fine, but without motivation and human values [1] our actions will be void. Conversely, a brilliant mind encapsulated in a body that runs below its full capacity could be painful (eg. Stephen Hawking [2]).

So, if we accept the definition of health, as a state in which the body-mind complex works in the absence of diseases, and at its optimum level, here are 3 points that in my view may affect our health:

1. Violence. This may come in any form, from verbal to physical violence, and it's expected in the present age of Kali [3]
According to the Indian tradition, the present age is marked by ignorance and it will last 10k years. And no, we're not approaching the end since we're just in the middle of it.
That's right, ignorance. But how is that possible?
We've achieved so much in so many fields including science and technology. We've gone beyond our own solar system, we've vaccines able to reverse a nasty pandemic, and you talk of ignorance?

While scientific progress is undeniable and social conditions have improved in many parts of the world, our society is still governed by fear and desire in large measure.
Governments tend to develop weapons of mass destruction to intimidate others, we disrupt our own environment for the sake of business, we spread fake news to discredit others, and we watch all type of content that dominate or fight others and eventually pollute our mind.
All types of degenerative diseases, quite rare in the past, are emerging in this period, and according to WHO (World Health Organization) , most of these threats are man made. [4]

2. Dependency. This also comes in many forms, and it's often a result of insecurity and anxiety, both a form of fear.
For example, we want to look good, like the influencer that we follow on Facebook. So, we go to the gym to develop muscles, or we ask the surgeon to fix that 'defect' for us.
We also want the latest products that we watch in the ads, so we feel proud and cool.
We tend to depend on medications for our health, and while these can be very effective in an emergency situation, when they create a dependency we're bound to them. For example, according to Prof. Roy Taylor Diabetes is almost always a reversible condition [5] but when we visit our doctor we're given tablets which will not resolve the root cause of the problem, and instead will bind us to an endless dependency.
Criminals also suffer from the same dependency as they need to aggregate into an organization that gives them a purpose, even though at the cost of sacrificing their own true nature. [1]
We prefer to suffer for what we don't have, rather than enjoying what we are. This concept was developed in detail by Erich Fromm: "To have or to be".

3. Sabotage. The ads say we can do more and faster if we buy that product, and 5G is here to enable us to be more connected as ever. But what will we do with all that extra time?
Most likely we'll indulge in sabotage ourselves. Unhealthy food, drinks and addiction to pleasure will likely hold us in hostage, and we'll be compelled to satisfy our desires, rather than raise above them.
Our modern culture often celebrate weak qualities like power, intolerance, pleasure, and desire, rather than supporting the strong qualities of tolerance and respect which will help us to collaborate rather than fight.
We advocate human rights, but we promote inequalities and we sabotage ourselves and our communities.
For the sake of pleasure we sabotage mother Nature and other human beings.

But wait, there is good news!

Nothing last forever, and even ignorance can be overcome when we had enough of it. In other words, by going through ignorance and darkness, we prepare ourselves for harmony and light, and we get closer to our true nature that is love. Timeless, selfless, and unlimited love, here and now.
